My way to development begun in 2002, two days before Christmas when my father brought home the first computer. It was a very special day in my life.
Four years later I did not dare to apply to Computer Science at University (I know it sounds naive in 2024, but in Ukraine at that time it was still a “boys” profession and it is so cool that now the world gets rid of this cliche), so I choose Economic and Management. Besides others, I had 6 semesters of Informatics, where I have learned basics and built my first website. After graduation, I founded my own start-up - a translation agency. This background helps me in my work as a developer in learning new, as well as in the strategic approach to problems, to act independently and work successfully in a team (at the beginning we were 3 colleagues and 4 years later 11).
In 2014 I have moved to Germany and worked as a freelance translator for a few years. After obtaining German citizenship, I decided to start a new career and combine two of my passions: languages and computers. For this, I have finished the 1-year program at Digital Career Institute in Berlin, had 10-weeks internship and worked on my own projects.
Currently, I am a frontend developer in a team with 7 colleagues. Our company, with 100 employees and locations in Berlin and Bonn, specializes in crafting innovative solutions for public service, healthcare, and business clients.
In my free time, I like traveling (visited 27 countries), painting (studied at art school), and golf (assistant of the chief organizer of a non-profit golf association).
